Crown Land is important to Regional Communities
Communities are passionate about the ongoing use of Crown Land and the formation of the Community Advisory Committee, CAC, is part of the NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust’s commitment to providing environmental, social and economically sustainable assets for the benefit and use of the people of New South Wales now and into the future.
Dedicated to further facilitating communication between the Trust’s Board and community stakeholders with an interest in the Trust’s Holiday Parks and Reserves, the CAC reflects the broad perspectives of the New South Wales community, and brings to the Committee knowledge of the opinions and concerns of the community and/or stakeholder groups that might genuinely impact Parks and Reserves within the Reflections Holiday Parks portfolio.
The CAC includes individuals with a range of backgrounds and experience in parks and reserves across the State, as well as representatives from the NSW Business Chamber, South Coast Regional Tourism, Surf Life Saving NSW, Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW, Nature Conservation Council of NSW and NSW National Parks & Wildlife Serve.
The inaugural CAC Chair is John King OAM, an industry professional with a background of 40 years in highly successful and widely-recognised international tourism marketing and management. Mr King holds a number of positions on highly-prominent Tourism and Travel Boards and was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for his contribution to tourism in 2011.
