About Lake Glenbawn Holiday Park

Lake Glenbawn Holiday Park & Caravan Park offers more than just cabins and campsites. Nestled in a picturesque pocket of New South Wales, just a short drive from Scone, you’ll discover a delightful surprise: kangaroos and plenty of them, adding a touch of wildlife charm to your stay.

When it comes to our accommodation, you’ve got a tough decision on your hands. You can either stay in our cosy cabins, some boasting one-in-a-million views over Lake Glenbawn. Or BYO caravan, RV, or tent and enjoy the fun of a true-blue camping adventure. Feel at home near park facilities or explore its vastness to discover your own secluded slice of paradise.

On the water, there’s swimming, water-skiing, jet-skiing and fishing in spades. Off the water, there’s a playground for the kids, laundry facilities, a BBQ area, swimming pool, tennis courts, fire pit, and a fuel station and kiosk so you can fill up whatever’s running low – your boat tank or your bellies. Of course, it’s not a lakeside getaway without your furry friends, so bring your doggie pals for the holiday of their dreams.

If hiking is more your thing, we’ve got hiking trails for days and the Scone Golf Club is only up the road for a round or five (who’s counting?). It’s a relaxing picturesque oasis filled with roaming kangaroos and plenty of fish too – word is even a simple kernel of corn is known to catch a big one around here.

No matter what you’re into, there’s something for everyone to make your stay truly unforgettable at Lake Glenbawn Holiday and Caravan Park.

What should I bring for my stay?

Preparing for a holiday can be a massive journey in itself, at Reflections Holiday Parks our aim is to ensure guests are as well equipped as possible before hitting the open road.

If you’re planning a stay in one of our cabins, we have many of the essentials covered, with linen, towels and kitchenware all provided. All you’ll need is some delicious treats, some comfy clothes, good company and a thirst for adventure.

We also recommend packing a torch and spare batteries, your trusty First Aid Kit, plenty of Insect Repellant, Sun Screen and Hats to keep you sun safe and rubbish bags to keep the park tidy for the next guests on your site.

Oh, and don’t forget the tent pegs too!!

What is your booking policy?

For all details please refer to our booking terms and conditions HERE.

Are there cooking facilities available?

Located close to the dam, the main undercover BBQ area is a great place to gather with family and friends and to meet other guests. You can sit and enjoy the simple things in life with Glenbawn Dam just a stone’s throw away. The kids can play in the playground, all within cooee. There are plenty of picnic tables to sit around and watch the sun set over the dam in the evening. Additional smaller BBQ areas are also conveniently located near the cabins on the eastern foreshore as well as in the western precinct, near the powered sites/villas.

Can I bring my own BBQ/Firepit/Campfire?

Although Lake Glenbawn has conveniently located communal BBQ areas dotted around the park and some of the cabins also have their own private BBQ on the balcony, we do allow you to bring your own BBQ on both powered and unpowered camp sites. Contained campfires are allowed on unpowered camp sites also, perfect for those cooler nights to sit around with family and friends and relax after an adventure filled day (rules apply – guests must comply with fire restrictions imposed by the Park Manager/Fire Authority, campfires must be contained in a fire pit and always attended, by law the collection of firewood from the park is not permitted – firewood can be purchased from the kiosk or outside the park, fires must be completely extinguished after use).

What other activities and facilities are available?

Switch off, wind down, soak in the scenery and get back to basics. Lake Glenbawn allows you to get away from it all and reconnect with the natural environment. Digitally detox and just go fishing, boating, skiing, paddling or swimming (the dog is welcome to take a dip in the dam also). The western precinct has a swimming pool, (although this is a little ways away from the dam). There are multiple boat ramps to launch your watercraft. For the fishing buffs, there are fish cleaning tables at your disposal.

There are several amenities’ blocks (including an accessible bathroom), cashless laundry, and undercover BBQ areas with plenty of seating and the kiosk is available for a snack or to pick up any last-minute necessities you may have forgotten. The kids have a large playground to run free with plenty of grass around to kick a ball or run off some energy (if they have any left).

Do you sell fuel?

Lake Glenbawn has regular premium ULP and swap n go gas bottles (no refill) available for purchase at the kiosk during office hours (9am to 5pm).

What does the unpowered camping consist of and can I bring a generator?

You are spoilt for choice at Lake Glenbawn. There are multiple areas to camp unpowered and we do not allocate you a specific site. You are free pick your own piece of nature and set up where you feel comfortable. If you still require some creature comforts during your stay, you may run a generator during the day (8am to 10pm only). Water taps are scattered throughout the unpowered areas and at the amenities blocks.

How do I purchase a day pass/ annual pass?

If you have a stay booked at Lake Glenbawn, we provide you an access code to enter the park. Each booking includes an access code for one vehicle (additional vehicles require their own access code at a small fee).

For day visitors, a Day pass can be purchased from the office/kiosk during office hours (9am to 5pm). You can enter the park using the generic code on the boom gate, but you will not be able to exit without stopping by the office first to get a day pass. For regular day trippers, an annual pass (valid for 12 months) may be more convenient.

All access codes expire at 10pm.

What is the current dam level?

As with all inland waterways, Dam levels will fluctuate with weather patterns. Current Dam levels at Lake Glenbawn can be found here. Current algae levels at Lake Glenbawn can be found here.

Please be aware, that at times of low dam levels, some boat ramps may harder to access at the water’s edge.
