Jimmys Beach offers great fishing opportunities for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or just starting out, there are plenty of fish in the area to keep you busy. Fishing gear, bait (such as live worms) and surface lures can be purchased from local stores in the area.
There are also experienced charters available to take you out on the water for a more adventurous fishing experience. Jimmys Beach has very little surf, making it an ideal place for fishing.

Protected by the headland, the calm waters around Jimmys Beach make the ideal paddleboarding spot. Launch from the beach and enjoy a day paddling around the waters and enjoying the headland views.

While the calm waters of Jimmys Beach make it perfect for swimming, snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking, , surfers need to head five minutes from Jimmys Beach is Bennets Beach and the southern end, also known as The Dolphins Playground has surf perfect for board riders and body surfers.
There are a few other beach stretches around the area perfect for surfing, including Hawks Nest Beach, and Nelson Bay Beach.
Yacaaba Headland Walking Track
If you’d prefer to stay on land, the Yacaaba Headland Walking Track is a great way to explore the area. The track provides stunning views of Jimmys Beach and surrounding areas. The track is surrounded by lush bushland and is a great spot for birdwatching. There are also nearby tea gardens at the Myall Lakes National Park.
