A bush camping tip or two

Prepare some yummy stews, soups and hearty foods prior to arriving; they will keep you fuelled with warmth and energised for your camping adventure.

  • Don’t leave food and garbage unwrapped outside. It will attract the wildlife you are hoping to admire from afar.
  • When the ground is cold, use foam floor tiles on the tent floor to give an extra layer of insulation and comfort.
  • Invest in a good quality sleeping bag/ stretcher or mattress pad. Your back will thank you!
  • Rope and duct tape are like the allen key of camping, They will fix just about anything.
  • Glow sticks in water bottles make for a great game of night bowling or are handy in preventing a fall when placed around your tent’s guy ropes.
