Lake Glenbawn Recreation Area

Lake Glenbawn Holiday and Recreation Park is located in the Upper Hunter Region, just 15 minutes past Scone. This large spacious park offers a family holiday or a day trip with a difference. Set on the banks of Glenbawn Dam in a rural backdrop, the Park offers a wonderful diversity of bushland, wildlife and adventure.

Nature lovers and bushwalkers alike will enjoy the native bush setting, which provides a habitat for over 100 species of birds, so make sure you keep the binoculars handy! The Park also offers great facilities for a fun family day out or holiday destination such as, picnic areas, barbecues, playgrounds and tennis courts.

Lake Glenbawn is also one of the best freshwater fishing spots in NSW. Cast a line and you can catch our famous ‘big bass’, golden perch (yellow belly) and catfish. Water sports are popular, including canoeing, pleasure boating, sailing and wind surfing water skiing and wake boarding.

There is a range of accommodation options available from Cabins, Bungalows and Villas to waterfront camping sites. Lake Glenbawn is pet friendly, so even the family pet can enjoy outdoor camping and sitting in front of the campfire.
