If you’re planning a stay at Reflections Moonee Beach you’re in luck. You’ll be just a stone’s throw from the natural delights of Moonee Beach Nature Reserve. Here are some of our favourite ways to get moving at Moonee:
Kayaking around Moonee Beach
From the estuary outside Reflections Holiday Parks Moonee Beach, the Moonee Creek Canoe Route is a three-hour paddling adventure exploring the tranquil and tree-lined waterways. Bring a picnic lunch for a pit-stop amongst the banksias and keep an eye out for the kangaroos, koalas and abundant birdlife.
Hiking Trails near Moonee Beach, Coffs Coast
Lace up the boots and enjoy the bushwalks in the area. The Dammerels History Walk is a 30-minute stroll that boasts beautiful views and as the name suggests, fascinating stories of the history of the area. Or take on the intriguingly named Look At Me Now Headland Walk where scenic views and whale watching are all part of the experience.
Snorkelling and swimming from Moonee Beach
Bring the mask and don the flippers - it’s time to discover the underwater wonders of Moonee Beach Nature Reserve. Explore the rock pools at the northern end of the beach or head to the estuary for a more sheltered snorkelling adventure. No gear? No problem - just bring your swimmers for a refreshing dip.
Fishing
Moonee Beach is well-known for its fishing, particularly for Jewfish. The mouth of the creek is home to Luderick, Bream, Jewfish and Tailor and deeper into the creek is where you’ll find Bream and Flathead. All up a great fishing spot. If you haven’t given kayak fishing a go previously, Moonee Creek is an ideal place to start.
Being in the great outdoors is good for the mind, body and soul. Stay at Moonee Beach Holiday Park and the natural wonders of Moonee Beach Nature Reserve will be practically at your doorstep. Get your heart pumping amidst unique and beautiful flora and fauna for unforgettable adventures to make your holiday complete.
