As you’re preparing for a well-earned holiday, we’d like to share some security and safety tips to ensure your break is an enjoyable one.

Securing your belongings

Thieves are known to target holiday areas, either opportunistic or targeted in looking for unattended items of high value. We have a range of security measures within our parks as deterrents however we ask that you please be prepared, in ensuring the security of your own belongings:

  • Consider before arriving how you will secure any valuables including, bikes, fishing equipment, electronics, camping gear, and personal items.
  • Items secured out of sight is the best deterrent however if this is not possible, we recommend quality high-tensile locking devices over cheap cable locks that can be easily removed. For example, a U-Lock or hardened steel chain and padlock for securing bikes.
  • It should go without saying, but please lock your car, vans and cabins when not attended! Consider how you may secure your tent.
  • Inform our team of any unusual behaviour you may notice within the park.

Safety in parks

We love seeing our guests relax and enjoy themselves when on a well-earned break. There are a few things you can do to help maintain safety so that everyone has a great time:

  • Abide by the speed limits when driving within the park
  • Ensure cars are parked in designated areas and within the allocated number for each site or cabin (e.g. 1 car per site)
  • Keep a lid on your kids – helmets are to be worn at all times when riding bikes or scooters within the park
  • Bikes and scooters are not to be ridden after dark, this is for the safety of both kids and pedestrians
  • Check conditions, keep within your limits and ‘if in doubt don’t go out’ when accessing beaches or waterways

We thank you for your preparation and look forward to welcoming you so you can sit back and relax on a safe & secure holiday! If you have any questions regarding safety & security, please contact the park reception.
