Keepit Dam is home to the Golden Perch, Silver Perch, Murray Cod, Catfish and some Redfin (if you’re lucky!). You can cast a line from the banks along the dam wall or take a boat out for more chances of success.

Visit Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre

The local sport and recreation centre is run by the NSW National Parks team and hosts a range of activities year-round. You can try your hand at canoeing, kayaking, water skiing and swimming. There are also plenty of open grassy spaces at Lake Keepit State Park to play family sports or just have a picnic. The Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre can help facilitate the outdoor adventures you've been keen to try with your family.

Sailing at Keepit Dam

Can you have a campfire at Lake Keepit

Campfires are allowed in our bush camping area, unpowered sites on the main side, however they are not allowed in our powered sites. We do have fire pits in our grass area in front of cabins for use (rules apply – guests must comply with fire restrictions imposed by the Park Manger/Fire Authority, campfires must be contained in a fire pit and always attended, fire pits must be up off the ground, by law the collection of firewood from the park is not permitted – firewood can be purchased from the kiosk or outside the park, fires must be completely extinguished after use).
