Anne’s background has always been in customer service, whilst Simon has been a boatbuilder and business owner for most of his working life with a passion for boating and fishing. They have always shared a love of the outdoors and meeting new people.
In 2013 Anne and Simon left home in Beaudesert Qld and set out in their caravan on a 12 month, around Oz trip which turned into a five-year working holiday in holiday parks all around the country – from Cairns in North Queensland to Kununurra in the Kimberley’s W.A.
After two years managing a park on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, they decided to move back to a warmer climate – Mylestom was an easy choice having worked on the Coffs Coast previously.
Their son and daughter have come back with them so it’s a family affair!
“The park is directly behind the sand dunes of North Beach, a stunning stretch of coastline where you can walk forever or throw in a line.”
Mylestom is a charming village with a fabulous local Bowls club, (the courtesy bus will come to the park on request), and a General Store and Cafe where you can enjoy a tasty breakfast. We are right next to Bongil Bongil National Park with the Bellinger River just 300 metres down the road.
There’s so much to do or nothing to do, whether it’s lying on the beach with book in hand, fishing, surfing, swimming, bushwalking or exploring the local area.
“We also have putt-putt golf for the young and not so-young, an outdoor play- gym for the children, and a recently re-furbished lap-pool. The park is nice and flat, with sealed roads which means it’s perfect for bike riding.”
Reflections Mylestom offers music and movie nights, sausage sizzles, and school holiday kids’ craft and competitions, to name just a few of the park activities.
“We’re the perfect base for day trips. Treat the kids to Dolphin Marine Magic in Coffs or take the scenic drive to Bellingen for markets and cafes. The drive to Dorrigo along Waterfall Way is also a lovely day out.”
Sounds great doesn’t it? It might be time to book your holiday at Reflections Holiday Parks Mylestom, situated right on amazing North Beach!
